Download the latest wordpress .zip from https://wordpress.org/download/
Unzip the package in the directory you wish to use for the job. Give this directory a suitable name (Usually the domain name you’re using for this job)
Establish a connection to this directory through MAMP to run locally.
(In this instance running cPanel)
Use MySQL Database Wizard to install a new database.
Make a note of your settings as you will need the following
Database name
Database username
Database password
Database host **
Table prefix (if you want to run more than one WordPress in a single database)
Database host “localhost”
** It’s not localhost until you’re serving the website from the host server and you’re NOT you’re running this locally first.
Therefore replace “localhost” with the IP address of the server running your newly created database.
BEFORE THIS WILL WORK WE NEED TO SET UP VIA CPANEL THE “REMOTE MYSQL”
This will authorise YOUR local IP address to access your MySql databases on your server.
In cPanel click on Remote MySql and enter your IP Address.
Now we’re ready to follow the wordpress installation instructions.
